DP Gachagua accuses Rift Valley leaders of meddling in Mt Kenya politics

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has accused a section of leaders from Rift Valley leaders of sowing seeds of discord in the Mt Kenya region.

The DP who was in Uasin Gishu County said the leaders involved, and who he claimed were close to President William Ruto, were not only eager to interfere with the region’s political affairs but also undermine him as the region’s topmost politician.

“The problem is a few leaders from this region (Rift Valley) who have proximity to the President. Hao ndio wanakoroga siasa uko kwetu (Mt. Kenya),” noted Gachagua

He said the group from Rift Valley was working closely with a section of leaders from Central Kenya in this mission. He accused them of engaging in premature succession politics.

Gachagua said leaders from other regions should stop interfering with the politics of Mt Kenya region.

The DP added that; “Nyinyi mpange siasa yenu and uongozi wenu. Siku rais William Ruto atastaafu sisi hatutaingilia vile mnataka kupanga, mtapanga wenyewe.
