Kaizer Chiefs: Pitso, Benni and Amakhosi legend linked – UPDATE

Kaizer Chiefs search for a new permanent head coach is far from over after Nasreddine Nabi confirmed big offers abroad.

Nassredine Nabi is considering other offers besides Kaizer Chiefs. Interestingly, he has big offers overseas. Meaning, he has not decided on Amakhosi, nor has he signed a deal with them as yet.

Therefore, the door has re-opened to the clubs other candidates. Namely, Pitso Mosimane who is once again in the Chiefs picture. Meanwhile, Benni McCarthy and an Amakhosi legend is in the picture as well. Here is the latest.

Mosimane to Chiefs is once again alive. This comes after Nabi confirmed that he has other offers that he will be considering. In fact, Chiefs will sign Mosimane if Nabi decides to join another team.

As things stand, he is back in South Africa and he is available. Furthermore, he has held talks with Amakhosi. Moreover, Mosimane has invited future talks (negotiations) from Chiefs. Recently, he confirmed a good working relationship with the Soweto giants.

“Let’s give them a chance, they will show you the plan, I mean they are working on it – they are a big club. We have a good relationship with them, we talk anytime – we  speak on the phone, my boy is playing there, he is the top scorer in GDL under 13. If there was bad blood he would not be there, am I right? So there’s no problems,” Mosimane stated on SABCSport.

Another man who could come into the picture, is McCarthy.

Interestingly, the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates legend has hinted at the possibility of joining Chiefs. Moreover, his contract with Manchester United is about to expire. Additionally, McCarthy has stated that he wants to make the step up to being a manager. So, if McCarthy does leave United, the Amakhosi hierarchy will have something to think about.

Amakhosi legend, Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse is one of the wildcards for the Chiefs job.

“Ace Khuse is one of the coaches who have been linked with Chiefs, and there are a lot of people who believe that he can do the job for the club,” the insider reported in SoccerLaduma.

It must be noted that Nabi is still the front-runner. However, he is focused on completing the season with AS Far who have a Throne Cup semi-final against on 23 July. Thereafter, Nabi will make a decision with several offers tabled for the Chiefs target.

“I will decide my future after the Throne Cup competition. I will meet with the president and decide my future,” Nabi stated on iDiskiTimes.
