‘Wasted my vote’: Duduzile Zuma trolled over X outburst

MK Party supporters have voiced their regret on social media after voting for the party led by former president Jacob Zuma. They’ve also slammed the outburst of his daughter, Duduzile, who has been using her X platform to criticise the opposition.

The 42-year-old is Duduzane Zuma’s twin sister. She is considered her father’s “right hand” and holds a position of authority in the party.

Despite getting over two million votes and earning 45% of the votes in KwaZulu-Natal, the new party has not secured enough seats to form a provincial government. They’ve also rejected an offer to join the Government of National Unity (GNU).

DUDUZILE ZUMA GOES ON X RANT

While the MK Party recorded high figures in their first-ever election, officials – including Jacob Zuma – have insisted that their votes were rigged by the IEC. Zuma and his daughter Duduzile have sensationally claimed that their party won “two-thirds” of the votes.

After boycotting the first sitting of the National Assembly, Duduzile went on an X rant aimed at party critics.

In a series of tweets, she posted:

“President Zuma has not and will not betray us or sell out! That GNU party will be short-lived, and MK will be ready.

“MP Party is now not only fighting WMC (white monopoly capital), MK is now fighting an apartheid government!”

“Fact: MK’s 31 seats in parliament wouldn’t have made any diff in the premeditated marriage of anc of Ramaphosa & DA. MK was not going to be a part of/witness to that. We respect our voters!  Now we gear up with a clear conscience & humbly occupy an opposition role.”

President Zuma Has Not And Will Not Betray Us Or Sell Out!

Cdes, We Are Back On The Ground And Working. That GNU Party Will Be Short Lived And MK Will Be Ready !!!

As We Now Wait For The State Of The Nation Address On Sunday By President Zuma.

MK PARTY SUPPORTER: ‘I WASTED MY VOTE’

Duduzile Zuma’s tweets were met with a pinch of salt from many social media users, some of them being MK Party supporters.

@QinisoNkosi9: “I wasted my vote with this MK nonsense. Even this late, you are squabbling yourselves for legislation.”

@LungileThusi1: “I regret voting for the MK Party. UBaba wanted to use our votes as a reprisal to fight President Ramaphosa. History will register Umkhonto as the most ignominious and demented Party in the history of “fallacy democracy.”

@Chantel_Mini: “You have used people…… Using their votes to fight your personal battles with Ramaphosa. SAD!”

Others branded Duduzile “delusional” over her views.

@standbr123: “I see you count like your father.  How is Matric going, Dudu?”

@StHonorable: “It’s a fairytale. From an imaginary two-thirds majority noise to becoming an opposition party in one province.”

@Ed_UberDriver: “I’m convinced there’s something wrong with you upstairs.”

@ReezYellowSeven: “LOL, come back to the real world and leave those drugs alone.”

@Butcher8724868: “Dudu, you are delusional. Zuma has betrayed us and sold the country to the Guptas. You and your father are very cruel and selfish. You only think of yourself”
