Mamelodi Sundowns set to hijack Kaizer Chiefs target?

Mamelodi Sundowns have entered the race for one of Kaizer Chiefs main transfer targets.

Kaizer Chiefs have been strongly linked to Oswin Appollis for several weeks.

However, now they face stiff competition from arch rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. The latter just entered the chat. The Brazilians are determined to hijack Amakhosi’s deal.

So, Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns are all in pursuit of the Bafana Bafana attacker.

Meaning, the PSL “Big Three” are in a bidding war against each other. Meanwhile, they are also in a race against time. The transfer window closes at midnight.

“Mamelodi Sundowns have entered the race for the 23-year-old [Appollis],” KickOff reported.

It appears that Pirates are no longer in contention. However, Chiefs and Sundowns are both pushing to acquire his services before the transfer window closes.

“The Brazilians and Amakhosi are both pushing to acquire the City winger before midnight deadline,” the insider continued on the same publication.

Therefore, it is now a straight shoot-out between Manqoba Mngqithi and Sundowns and Nasreddine Nabi and Chiefs in a hotly contested race for the skillful and exciting Bafana Bafana attacker.

CHIEFS PURSUING TWO ATTACKERS

Amakhosi are currently bidding for TWO red-hot Bafana Bafana players.

Additionally, Chiefs still want Velebayi. Ultimately, the next few hours could prove decisive for the Soweto giants. Furthermore, Nabi has some big decisions to make across the squad during this time.

Nabi and Amakhosi management will have the final say on who is released – on loan and permanently. As things stand, these THREE Chiefs players are heading out of Naturena.
