We will work to get TNA Stadium approved for CAF Category Three matches â James Essilfie
James Essilfie, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee formed by the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly to manage the TNA Sports Stadium, has vowed to do everything possible to enable the facility to host CAF Category Three games. The former Medeama SC Chief Executive Officer made this remark after the Tarkwa community seized management of the stadium from the National Sports Authority (NSA) over allegations of mismanagement. Those who led the takeover claim that the stadium is already in a deplorable state just a month after it was entrusted to the NSA following its renovation this year. Now that the management of the stadium is in our hands, whatever we say needs to be done to ensure that the stadium is in good condition, we will do that, Essilfie said as played on Asempa FM.Whatever is needed for the facility to host CAF category three matches, we will address that. There were talks of the TNA Sports Stadium hosting Black Stars matches following the ban on the Baba Yara Stadium but its 10,000 seating capacity is not enough to host senior games.
