Liberian youngster Teah Joins Slavia Prague
Monrovia- Liberia teenage midfielder Divine Teah has officially joined Czech Republic side Slavia Prague from Swedish club Hammarby on a five-year deal that will run up to 2029.

The 18-year-old, who switched to Hammarby in April of 2024 from second division Liberian club Nimba FC for a fee around one hundred and twenty thousand United States dollars (120K), has been transferred for over two million dollars.
The talented midfielder was allowed by Hammarby to fly to Czech for discussion and medical, which was completed on Tuesday October 29.
Divine, an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal, is expected to cost 3.5 million euros approximately SEK 39 million) after Hammarby reached an agreement with Slavia Prague.
The Liberian promising star was in Prague over the weekend to witness Slavia’s 3–0 victory over Dukla Prague.
Hammarby last Wednesday afternoon confirmed the news of Divine’s departure on their official website, wishing him all the best.
“It Is clear that Divine Teah is leaving Hammarby for Slavia Prague. The 18-year-old is bought off by the Czech capital club.
“Best of luck to Divine! “a statement from Hammarby said.
Minutes after the Swedish club posted Teah’s departure, Slavia Prague also announced the arrival of another Liberian player, posting to its social media handle, “Empowerment for the future: Divine Teah”.
“The 18-year-old midfielder comes to Slavia from Hammarba, Sweden. The Liberian representative signed a contract in Eden until the 31st. December 2029,” Slavia said.
According to the deal, after the completion of the Swedish season, Divine will have some time off and join Slavia during the winter break. The 2024 Allsvenskan ends on November 10 and he will join the club on January 1, 2025.
Speaking about his move, Divine said he was happy because he wants to play at the highest level in Europe.
“I want to play at the highest level. And Slavia is on it.”
He said he was motivated and impressed from the first visit to the cabin and Eden and the influence of his country captain Oscar.
“I am very excited to be here, after our international break I spoke with Oscar he said Slavia Prague wants you to come over and I said it will be good for me, he spoke a lot of good things about the club, its fans and the coach, so, I said I will be hoping to make the move. It was easy for me because he’s our captain and a big brother to me,” Divine said.
He added that the fans’ constant cheer of their players from the warm-up to the end is something that really impressed him because he loves to see fans cheering their team or players.
Teah will unite with Liberia’s national team captain, Oscar Dorley, who has established himself as a key player for the Czech club and one of the team’s captains.
