‘I hope Sundowns fans watched Man City’ – Rulani

Mamelodi Sundowns are on the brink of incredible history in the DStv Premiership. Kabo Yellow are one match away from becoming the first-ever team to finish a season unbeaten.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS COACH RULANI MOKWENA SENDS MESSAGE TO SUPPORTERS

Cape Town City visit Sundowns at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Stadium. A win for the champions will mark the greatest history: 30 DStv Premiership matches without a defeat. With 29 games played so far, Sundowns have 22 wins and six draws.

Meanwhile, coach Mokwena has urged the supporters to fill out the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, similar to what Manchester City fans did last weekend at the Etihad Stadium despite the disappointment of losing out in the UEFA Champions League.

“We have to prepare for an important game and I hope the Sundowns supporters watched Manchester City over the weekend and how full the stadium was,” Mokwena said via the Citizen.

“Even though they were disappointed that they lost in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, there was a huge sense of appreciation for the fourth league title in a row. This special group has delivered a seventh league title in a row.

“For a special trophy handover, my plea is that they come and honour the players and fill up Loftus Versfeld. Give the players the celebration and atmosphere that they deserve. The supporters also deserve it because they deserve to celebrate it. These moments don’t come forever and repeat themselves so they’ve got to enjoy this period,” the Sundowns mentor concluded.

LEHLOHONOLO MOJELA SAYS HE WANTS TO PLAY FOR KABO YELLOW

Mamelodi Sundowns have a new admirer. TS Galaxy‘s Lehlohonolo Mojela has openly flirted with Kabo Yellow.

The 27-year-old Mojela has not been at the Rockets for a very long time. The pacy forward signed for TS Galaxy at the start of this season after impressing Sead Ramovic in a friendly match against Casric Stars. Sundowns are now his next dream.

Speaking to the media about reports linking him to the big teams, the attacker with seven goals and one assist said his heart is with Sundowns.

“I want to play for Sundowns, but for now, I’m focusing on TS Galaxy because that’s where I have a contract. I think coach Rulani [Mokwena] is a fantastic coach and Sundowns is very dangerous,” Mojela said as quoted by FARPost.
