President of the Yoruba Youth Forum (YYF), Abiodun Bolarinwa, has alleged a cheap blackmail being circulated by persons intended to discredit him that he shot at peaceful protesters at Abule Egba Under Bridge in Lagos.
Reacting to the incident, he pointed to a video currently online as being corrective of such cheap blackmail. He declared that he is not a politician, but a lover of youths.

He said he has a licence to carry firearms and he only shot into the air in order for him to escape from the hoodlums who had hijacked the protest and wanted to kill him as seen in the video that those present at the protest circulated on social media.
“As a youth leader, I was invited to speak to the protesters before it was hijacked by the hoodlums who attacked me. It’s, therefore, unethical and malicious for any person or a group of persons to claim I opened fire at peaceful protesters. Peaceful protesters will not attack or attempt to burn down anyone. The video circulating on social media has said it all,” he said.
