World Bank ranks Kenya 4th globally and tops in Sub-Saharan Africa
Kenya has one of the highest numbers of mobile phone accounts in the world ranking among the top 20 countries globally. According to the World Bank annual mobile phone survey, Kenya has the second-highest number of mobile money in Africa behind the Leader South Africa, with close to 80 percent of Kenyan adults having a bank account or a mobile money wallet.
