West Ham manager Lopetegui hopes Mohammed Kudus learns from three-match ban
West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui is optimistic that Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus will take valuable lessons from his three-game suspension, issued after a red card against Tottenham Hotspur.Kudus sat out the first match of his ban during West Hams 2-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday, a match that ended Erik ten Hags tenure.Kudus faced disciplinary action from the English FA for improper conduct following an altercation with Tottenhams Micky Van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr.”Unfortunately, Kudus is out for three matches because his behaviour wasnt acceptable, and he knows that,” Lopetegui told The Standard.”Im certain this wont happen again. I talked with him, but sometimes players already know when theyve made a mistake.”Despite his suspension, further disciplinary measures may be imposed, potentially extending Kudus absence to six matches, according to Football Insider. For now, Kudus will miss West Hams upcoming games against Nottingham Forest and Everton, with a possible return after the international break against Newcastle United if the original ban remains unchanged.
