‘DRUGGED’ WEDDING GUESTS RUSHED TO HOSPITAL

A reported 40 guests attended the nuptials. It wasn’t long into the reception that some of them reported “feeling weird” after consuming the food, completely unaware that it was mixed with dagga. Some claimed to be dizzy and nauseous while one guest told officials he felt like he had “drugs inside him” after eating food and drinking wine.

“I thought I was having a heart attack. My heart was racing and before I went to bed that night, I actually slept in my car right on-site,” Miranda Cady, another wedding guest told WESH 2.

Other guests were vomiting and complaining of stomach pains – some of them were even taken to the hospital.

Detectives who arrived at the wedding ended up taking a few food samples for testing, including desserts and lasagne.

“I don’t know why, I think that is the biggest question on all of our minds in speaking with some of the family members. We want an explanation… I know so many of my friends wouldn’t want me speaking [to the media] but I think it’s so important that people stand up for what’s right and you have to respect other people’s free will and boundaries and to have a choice in something like that,” Cady further told the broadcaster.
