We have to do better – Otto Addo after Angola defeat

LE HAVRE, FRANCE – SEPTEMBER 23: Coach of Ghana Otto Addo answers to the media during the post-match press conference following the international friendly match between Brazil and Ghana at Stade Oceane on September 23, 2022 in Le Havre, France. (Photo by Jean Catuffe/Getty Images)Black Stars coach Otto Addo has admitted that his team has to do better following their narrow defeat to Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.Ghana failed to impress particularly in the first half largely owing to the poor nature of the Baba Yara pitch. The Black Stars missed several attempts and ultimately surrendered to a late defeat when Angola’s Felicio Joao Milson capitalised on a poor clearance to stun the former African champions.I dont want to plant this loss on the pitch even though it wasnt good. Against Central African Republic, it was also not good but we won. We have to do better, he told the press after the defeat. The second half makes me very confident we can qualify. The good thing is that its all in our hands because we still have to face all the teams in the group. The Black Stars will now shift their attention to their next game against Niger on Monday in Morocco as they aim to bounce back from the atrocious show in Kumasi
