We have been struggling as a country since not qualifying for the 2018 World Cup – Otto Addo

The head coach of Ghanas Black Stars, Otto Addo has traced back the struggles of the national team to 2018 when the Black Stars failed to qualify to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.Speaking to the media team of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after the doubleheader against Sudan in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Otto Addo opined that luck helped the Black Stars to secure qualification to feature at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.Since not qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, weve been struggling as a country for a long time, we were lucky to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, the Black Stars head coach said.Admitting that the chances of the Black Stars qualifying for the next edition of the AFCON are slim, Coach Otto Addo believes that there is still a possibility.He has assured that his team will do everything to try and qualify for the next AFCON in Morocco.Surely, we as Ghana, should qualify for the AFCON. Yet, mathematically, theres still a chance and we will do everything, which is in our hands, to hold this chance alive, Coach Otto Addo said.
