We didn’t get the same Kamaldeen Sulemana after his injury in December – Southampton coach Russell Martin

Southampton manager Russell Martin has opened up about Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemanas injury struggles since he took charge of the team. The Scottish said he didnt get the same player after the 22-year-old suffered an injury towards the end of 2023 that ruled him out of action for more than two months, missing 18 games.Martin is making these remarks after Sulemana was declared fit for their upcoming game this Saturday against Leicester City in the Premier League.”I thought we got him into a really good place last year. He got into a really good rhythm, really helped the team and then got a little injury and it sort of set him back, Martin said on Thursday.”We didn’t quite get the same Kamaldeen back. I think with his attributes, it’s our job to work out the best way to use him in the best position.”We need to find the best way to get him the ball or the best way to make him feel a big part of the game.Sulemana has not yet featured for the Saints this season since an injury against Ooxford United in July during pre-season, making his potential appearance a significant boost for the team.
