Sudan assistant coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu says they are targeting clinching the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.TheFalcons of Jediane finished at the second spot with eight points in Group F after six games. Their impressive performance denied Ghana a chance to qualify for the tournament.Osei-Fosu, who is a former Medeama SC and Techiman Eleven Wonders head coach joined Sudans technical team under the leadership of Kwesi Appiah, who he holds in high regard.Since taking charge in September 2023, Appiah has revitalised the Sudanese side, with their AFCON qualification seen as a testament to his impact.Kwesi Appiah goes into every game with the expectation to win, and that is exactly what we are going to do in Morocco, but we will take it game after game,” he told 3Sports.”Our expectation going into the AFCON 2025 is to win, and we believe that we have the quality to do that, Osei-Fosu added.While Sudan faces the challenge of competing against stronger opposition, their confidence is at an all-time high. As Osei-Fosu expressed, belief and preparation will be key to their ambitions in Morocco.
