Wazito FC appoint Francis Kimanzi as the new head coach

Football Kenya Federation Premier League(FKFPL) side Wazito FC have unveiled former Harambee Stars coach Francis Kimanzi as the new head coach.

In a statement, the club stated: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Francis Kimanzi as our new head coach ahead of the 2020/21 season.”

The experienced tactician who has previously been in charge of Mathare United, Tusker FC and Sofapaka will be assisted by former Kenya U20, Thika United, Posta Rangers, KCB FC and FC Talanta coach John Kamau.

The moneybags have also settled on Sam Koko who was previously in Mathare United as the in charge of the goalkeeping department.

The Ricardo Badoer owned club, who has revolutionized football management in the country, has acquired the services of sports scientist Sylvia Kariuki, who returns to the club and, she will be charge of players’ monitoring.

Francis Kimanzi is the seventh coach to be recruited by the club in the space of a year after the likes of Fred Ambani, Salim Babu, Stewart Hall, Frank Ouna among others.
