Warriors Miss Out as FUBA Releases NBL Fixtures

The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) Competitions Council on Thursday released the first round fixtures for the National Basketball League (NBL) season which kicks off in March.

The first round for the new season featuring both Men and Women in the top division gets underway on Friday March 11 and concludes on Sunday 22 May 2022.

Two-time league champions, Warriors, have been left out of the forthcoming season after the team’s failure to confirm participation before the deadline day on Tuesday 22 February.

The men’s top division league will hence accommodate 13 teams while the Women’s Division maintains the 10-team league as it has been in the previous seasons.

Victoria University will make their debut appearance in the Men’s league after acquiring Sharing Youth.

Our Saviour and Tropical Royals are the two newcomers who gained promotion from Division One last season.

For the women’s league, Miracle Eaglets have been included after acquiring UMU Ravens slot.
