An avid member of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II, has stated that persons like Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako and Kwame Baffoe would have suffered most and received constant bashings had the party lost political power in 2020.
He described the above three as persons who played a massive role in the victory of the NPP but was quick to add that they would have been sacrificed if the party had lost to the National Democratic Congress.
Commenting on the list of staffers released by President Akufo-Addo to serve in his new administration, Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II congratulated them but served notice to others who played no role in the victory of the NPP from lobbying for positions.
According to him, the NPP found it difficult to win last year’s elections due to actions of some people who got ministerial appointments.
He explained that some ministers became pompous and made party members book appointments before seeing them; forgetting that it was the vote of the party members that gave them a chance to become ministers.
