UPDATED World Rankings after Springboks beat Wales
The Springboks capped off their 2024 season with a resounding 45 – 12 win over Wales.
The Springboks will finish the 2024 test rugby season as the number one side in the world.
However, their dominant win over Wales will not result in any more points due to the vast gap between the sides in the latest world rankings.

SPRINGBOKS SOLIDIFY PLACE AT THE TOP
The Springboks will finish the 2024 test season as the number one side in world rugby.
Furthermore, there dominant win over the Welsh means that they finished their tour of the UK unbeaten.
So, the Springboks won the Nelson Mandela plate, Freedom Cup, Rugby Championship and finished their season with an impressive 11 wins from 13 matches. Meanwhile, they drew their Castle Lager incoming tour 1-1 against Ireland and scored at least four tries on against Scotland (4), England (4) and Wales (7) to cap off a massive year for SA Rugby.
Meaning, the Springboks will finish the year with 92.78 points. Moreover with New Zealand set to take other Italy they cannot close the gap on the Boks.
Therefore, they will finish the year as the number one side in world rugby – rightfully so.
