To Improve Transparency, Accountability NRF Launches Financial Software

In order to professionally handle the affairs of the National Road Fund in collaboration with stakeholders on Monday, August 16, 2022 launched a modern financial Software, “SAGE”-300 Enterprise Resource Program (ERP), it is an integrated window based management and accounting software applications at the head office of NRF.

This colorful program which brought together stakeholders in the sector, Mr. James Wureh, Consultant to NRF, said this new Software is to improve transparency and accountability of the institution’s financial management system.

Speaking at the launch of the software, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Road Fund, Mr. Boniface D, Satu, disclosed that the software is necessary as it will ensure financial management, accountability and improve reporting requirements among others.

Mr. Satu noted that the software will also alleviate or mitigate the risk of individual staffer having information pertaining to the NRF in their possession, noting the new software will institutionalize the information of the NRF.

He expressed excitement over the new software as it will build confidence in the institution where partners including the World Bank can smoothly transact with the NRF as well as help to provide the needed financial information to the Ministry of Finance, the Legislature and to the President.

For his part, World Bank Team Leader to Liberia, Mr. John Richardson poured praises on the NRF management team the National Road Fund for its farsightedness, and further lauded the collaborating parties involved with the development of the Software and noted that the Bank will continue to work with the NRF to improve the system and make it more viable for integrity and accountability.
