Thousand Storms Ubulu-Uku Ine festival in Delta as Onishe of Ubulu-Uku showcases cultural heritage

The Ubulu-Uku Ine Festival was a massive celebration attracting thousands of people from home and abroad to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Aniocha South, Delta State.

The Onishe of Ubulu-Uku kingdom Chief James Onwordi Ibori Ubulu led the festivities, highlighting the festival’s significance in preserving the kingdom’s cultural heritage.

According to the Onishe of the Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, the Ine Festival is an annual event featuring cultural displays, cleansing rituals, music, dance, and social commentary, dating back to the kingdom’s inception.

It’s also a tourist attraction, drawing investors to witness the kingdom’s vibrant culture.

Attendees included Palace Chiefs, Human Rights Activist Harrison Gwamnishu, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, and Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor Mr. Collins Uduaghan, among other dignitaries.

Highlights of the Ine Festival include Cultural Displays, Showcasing traditional attire, music, and dance, Cleansing Rituals which is the Purifying the land from immoral acts, Social Commentary including addressing societal issues through performances, Tourism attracting investors and visitors to experience Ubulu-Uku’s rich culture

The Onishe while addressing sons and daughters of Ubulu-Uku says the Obi of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom HRM Obi Chukwuka Noah Akaeze has expressed gratitude to the people of Ubulu-Uku for demonstrating peace during the festival and praised the sons and daughters of the kingdom for proudly showcasing their cultural heritage.
