Minnie Dlamini and husband separated ‘for months’

It seems there had been trouble in paradise for quite some time as Minnie Dlamini and her hubby say they had been separated for months prior to making the divorce announcement.

“After months of separation and consultations and with our family and counsellor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce. Despite the end of our marriage and romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners and loving parents to our beautiful son”

The couple got married in a fairytale wedding in September 2017. They documented their nuptials in Becoming Mrs Jones, a three-part docu-series. They are also parents to a son named Netha Jones.

News of their divorce may come as a surprise to many, particularly because it was just months ago that the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary.

“Happy Anniversary to us I can’t believe it’s 4years already wow time flies!!!!,” Dlamini wrote.

“Marriage is not easy and there are many times we’ve both wanted to call it quits but it’s days like today that remind us of the promise we made to each other Love you Baba kaNetha.”

Months into their marriage, they found themselves at the centre of divorce rumours. One report had claimed they were constantly at each other’s throats and that Minnie had even yelled at her husband at the Cape Town International Airport.

“First I’m getting divorced then I’m fighting in public with my husband. Mrs Jones ain’t going anywhere, no matter what lies you try spread,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.
