Wednesday, January 26, 2022 – Yesterday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said he was disappointed with Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi after he joined Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the August 9th presidential election.
Uhuru, who spoke at State House, Nairobi, while meeting Western Kenya leaders and scholars, said Mudavadi’s decision shocked him since he didn’t expect him to join a ‘criminal’ like Ruto.
Uhuru also blasted the coalition between Ruto and Mudavadi, saying Kenyans are in safer hands with Raila Odinga.
But in a response on Wednesday, Mudavadi who had accompanied DP Ruto to a series of campaign rallies in Baringo and Nakuru counties, answered the president, saying Kenyans are more disappointed in him for endorsing Raila Odinga.
Musalia has also alleged that Raila Odinga is a government project that will help continue President Kenyatta’s iron-fist rule.
“Mr. President, you have a right to be disappointed with me.
“But, I want to tell you: Kenyans are even more disappointed in you.
“They are hungry, they are tired. Let’s not lie to each other,” Mudavadi said.
