‘This is not the Kaizer Chiefs of Tshabalala and Doctor Khumalo’ – Nabi
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi insists his side still has a long way to go despite getting a third win of the season against Richards Bay on Wednesday night.
Two goals from Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez were enough to secure Amakhosi all three points at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. Despite Reeve Frosler getting a red card early in the second half, Nabi’s men managed to hold on to secure their third league win of the campaign.
After the match, Nabi feels Kaizer Chiefs should have scored a third goal to bury Richards Bay.
“The process is not for one, it’s not because we win the process is done,” he said on SuperSport TV.
“The object for the level of Kaizer Chiefs is very, very high. I think yes mentally it’s good, some moments in the game is good. But without consistency and efficiency for the third goal we need more work.
“But the three points is very good for the club. Mentally it’s not easy to play the second half with 10 men. It feels good. But for the process [it’s not done],” he said as per iDiski Times.
Nabi questions mentality despite Kaizer Chiefs winning
“It’s not Kaizer Chiefs [of old], remember Kaizer Chiefs before with Tshabalala, with Doctor Khumalo, this is a high level. Not like today.”
Should Amakhosi bring more players in January?
