Teacher Mpamire advises comedians to draw a line in Comedy
Popular comedian Herbert Ssegujja commonly known as teacher Mpamire is unhappy with fellow comedians who have failed to draw a line in the work they do.
There is still a big debate on when and why comedians should have a limit of the kind of words they use and the skits they make as they are doing their job. Some comedians have faced criticism from the public for going vulgar while trying to make their fans laugh and others have been scorned for making fun of each and every situation not sparing those that are normally sensitive.
“Not everything should be turned into Comedy.Let’s have respect for comedy! We have invested a lot in this Fraternity,” posted Teacher Mpamire on his Facebook page.
His reaction has come in the wake of the criticism against two comedians, Sammie and Shawa who have faced a backlash on social media for mocking National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine who was injured after allegedly being hit by a teargas canister in Bulindo,Wakiso District during a scuffle between Police and his team.
The two rising comedians are however not apologetic about their act on Bobi Wine’s situation and have argued that they will keep on doing their job as comedians.
