A former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper will remain at Swallows FC in the upcoming season after he impressed during his short stint last term.
Daniel Akpeyi will still be at the Dube Birds, and this was confirmed by chairman David Mogashoa as per Unplayable.
Akpeyi joined Swallows during the January transfer window following months on the sidelines after struggling to find a team.
His struggle to find a suitable team came soon after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Chiefs at the end of the 2021-22 season.
According to Mogashoa, Akpeyi signed a two-year-deal when he joined Swallows, and thus, no need for a new deal.

SWALLOWS CONFIRM EX-ORLANDO PIRATES MAN AS NEW COACH
Swallows FC chairman David Mogashoa has confirmed that THIS former Orlando Pirates man will be the new coach come next season.
Musa Nyatama will NOT be demoted but he will be handed the reigns as the Dube Birds boss following what was a ‘successful’ campaign.
Nyatama had been holding the fort on the interim since Ernst Middendorp’s sudden departure earlier this year, and this was his second stint as interim coach.

“It’s now up to me to make sure he gets his chance, and he will be the head coach of Swallows next season. He has a CAF C license and it’s up to me to make sure that he finds someone in the technical department who can step in when he does his B and A license,” said Mogashoa as per EWN.
