KENNY KUNENE’S BUSINESSES 

Kenny Kunene launched his e-hailing app Yookoo Ride in February 2019 under his Smart City Technology company. According to Business Insider, he claimed the app was 40% cheaper than Uber and Bolt. 

It is reported that the controversial businessman’s Smart City Technology company also focuses on mining consultancy, public relations, government relations, skills training and development. He also has a news publication called Africa News Global

He has also dipped his hand in the nightclub industry and founded ZAR in Green Point, Cape Town in 2011. He founded the club with the current leader of the Patriotic Alliance Gayton McKenzie. The two hosted lavish sushi parties where Kunene often ate sushi off of models. Unfortunately, there is no more sushi going around as the club officially closed in 2013.

Kunene and McKenzie are now working side-by-side to propel the Patriotic Alliance to new heights. Kunene is currently the deputy president of the Patriotic Alliance.

FAMILY LIFE 

According to reports, the 51-year-old has three children from his previous marriage with Mathato Kunene and two children with his current wife Nonkululeko Whitney Mhlanga. Kenny Kunene and Mhlanga tied the knot in 2017 when Mhlanga was just 22 years old. The pair had reportedly been dating four years before their marriage. 

His two children with Mhlanga, Remo and Reemona Kunene are “billionaire” babies as per their Instagram pages. In 2017, Kunene splashed R80 000 on a black and gold by Jeremy Scott pram and R8 000 on a Louis Vuitton towel for his son Remo. 

One of Kunene’s oldest children, Mpho Kunene is a YouTuber who currently has over 500 subscribers.
