Striker Joel Madondo is on the verge of signing for FUFA Big League side Gadaffi Football Club, ChimpReports has learnt.
Madondo who is currently a free agent is expected to sign a one-year contract with the West Nilers as he looks forward to revamping his career.
The Uganda Cranes player recently parted ways with Moroccan based club Wydad Casablanca over accumulated uncleared salary arrears, ending his short spell in North Africa.
Before moving to the continental giants, Madondo had played for Uganda Premier League side Busoga United and represented Uganda Cranes in the 2019 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup at Lugogo.
Before this transfer speculation, he was linked to UPL entities in Vipers Sports Club and Mbarara City FC alongside Asante Kotoko in the Ghanaian Premier League.
In case the deal goes through, he will join goalkeeper Didi Muhammad from Nairobi Stima, Lawrence Kasadha, Patrick Gonahasa, Steven Munguchi and Godwin Kawaga who signed for the club.
