St. Kizito High School Namugongo is gearing up to host its annual Fish Festival this Saturday, November 9th 2024, inviting students, alumni, parents, and well-wishers to join in a lively celebration of aquaculture and practical skills development on the school grounds. With a theme Promoting Competence-based Skills for aSustainable Green Future, the festival promises a day filled with cultural performances, demonstrations, and a unique focus on the benefits of fish farming. The school has invested in its own fish ponds, allowing students to learn the fundamentals of aquaculture, including the nutritional benefits of fish and the importance of sustainable fish farming. This approach not only equips students with practical skills but also broadens their understanding of food production and self-sustainability.
