Topping the list on 893 points is Percy Montgomery (102 Tests) with recently retired Morne Steyn in second place (742 points in 68 Tests).
Handre Pollard’s now 601 points total inches him closer to Steyn. At his current average of 10 points per Test, Pollard would have to play roughly 14/15 more to grab second spot.
Thanks to his 67 Test tries, Bryan Habana occupies fourth place with 335 points.
Elton Jantjies, who replaced Pollard midway through the second half, landed a penalty to edge closer to Habana on 326 points in fifth place.
Legendary Springbok No 10, Naas Botha, remains in sixth place with 312 points in just 28 Tests.
