WATCH: Ramaphosa dishes out kisses and hugs in Northern Cape

ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa was captured as he was dishing out hugs and kisses during his party’s Letsema campaign in the Northern Cape on Saturday.

According to reports, Ramaphosa had made a stop in the Galaeshewe township at the 82nd birthday celebration of Ouma Martha Louw.

It is believed Ouma Martha had received a house from the provincial government.

Is he being targeted? De Ruyter finds device hidden inside car

There are now concerns for Eskom CEO Andre De Ruyter after a suspiscious device was discovered inside his car, Sunday Times reports.

With the load shedding crisis not going away anytime soon, De Ruyter is facing calls from fierce critics to step down from the embattled power utility. He was appointed to Eskom in January 2020 and has since been on the receiving end of attacks from many, including sectors of business, unions and opposition parties.

According to Sunday Times, Andre De Ruyter roped in retired commissioner George Fizaz, whose company then launched its investigation to determine the source of the device and its purpose.

Stage 3 load shedding planned until THURSDAY – UPDATED schedule here

Eskom said on Sunday that Stage 3 load shedding will remain in place until THURSDAY.

The power utility said load shedding was necessary due to persistently high levels of breakdowns. 

Following the shutdown of Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga due to demineralised water contamination last week, the first of seven generating units returned to service on Saturday evening.

WATCH: Angry elephant charges at safari guests on foot

This extremely close encounter of an angry elephant charging a safari guest on foot in Kruger National Park was caught on camera.

Amazingly the two guides remained calm and in control despite the charging elephant being a few feet away from them.

The video starts with safari guests sitting beneath a tree, watching as a herd of elephants make their way past them. The herd split up, and some of the elephants started walking toward the group.

This bloke must be waking up with the hangover from hell on Sunday morning. An officer stationed on the Gautrain network has made a holy show of himself, after he jumped onto the pitch at a football match between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The cop in question was seen dancing by the touchline, throwing a series of shapes in front of a bemused crowd. His painful routine was eventually cut short by another, more sober officer, and our pissed-up policeman was escorted out of the venue.
