Sonko hints at ‘major’ political announcement
Mike Mbuvi Sonko, complete with a swanky hairstyle, appears to be spending much time at his new nightclub in Mombasa while showcasing himself enjoying quality time while at it.
And while stressing that ‘politics was not everything’ in a recent post on social media, the former Nairobi governor also appeared to advertise the entertainment joint to potential clients.

Sonko, born Gideon Mbuvi Kioko, was impeached by both the Nairobi County Assembly and Senate in 2020 amid allegations of financial impropriety and a backlog of court cases.
Ann Kananu replaced him.
And as he spends his stint outside active politics for the first time in more than a decade Sonko seems to have gone back to the business that earned him a name.
The flamboyant politician burst into the headlines for running a number of matatus and entertainment joints in the capital.
Despite his impeachment, Sonko has hinted he’s not yet done with politics.
