Siya Kolisi and Rachel’s divorce: Shocking speculations about split
Siya Kolisi and Rachel’s getting divorced but now there are shocking speculations circling about the split.
Popular podcast hosts MacG and Sol Phenduka have stirred the pot with their controversial speculations regarding the divorce of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi and his wife, Rachel Kolisi. Their episode delved into unsubstantiated claims of infidelity and other personal matters, raising eyebrows among fans and followers of the beloved South African couple.
Siya and Rachel Kolisi, who shared a decade-long relationship, met at a dinner party in Stellenbosch in 2012 and tied the knot in 2016. They are parents to two biological children, Nicholas Siyamthanda and Keziah, and they also adopted Siya’s younger siblings, Liyema and Liphelo, after their mother passed away in 2009.
Kolisi: Statement marks the end of an era
On Tuesday, October 22, the couple released a joint statement on social media announcing their split. They emphasised that the decision came “after much reflection and open conversations” and expressed it arose “from a place of love, respect, and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us.”
However, on Monday the episode of “Podcast and Chill,” MacG and Phenduka questioned the amicability of the split. MacG expressed scepticism, stating, “It doesn’t seem like they grew out of one another… and I saw extracts from his book… where he said he had gone through porn addiction, alcohol, and some of his lifestyle choices were not the ones,” as quoted by IOL.
Speculations of infidelity spark controversy
When Phenduka was asked by MacG if he thought Siya cheated, he responded, “I think what would drive a woman to the point of a divorce… cheating is one of them.” He further elaborated, “Some women have a tolerance for it until it is no longer tolerable.”
MacG weighed in with a provocative take: “But if there is one guy in this country who is allowed to cheat, it’s Siya man. He’s a two-time World champion, come on.” He added, “I think cut him some slack, guys; we’re just speculating, we don’t know if he did cheat, this is all allegations.”
Kolisi: Cultural context and family
Phenduka highlighted the cultural nuances, noting. “Especially in this community with rugby players and whites, you know, the family structure is big.” He pointed out that many Springboks got married in their 20s, which adds pressure to their personal lives. MacG then suggested something more serious might have occurred. “I think it must be something big, maybe he got another girl pregnant or something.”
Phenduka chimed in, stating. “Another woman will not understand… they may not necessarily leave their relationships or marriage until a child is involved.” MacG remarked, “A child is the ultimate disrespect… you fathered a child with another woman.”
Comparisons to other high-profile cases
The hosts drew parallels to other celebrity scandals, with MacG referencing Tiger Woods. “Look at Tiger Woods, what she (his ex-wife) did to him. We’re assuming now Rachel, but with Tiger Woods, we know, white women are not for that shit.” This comparison further fueled their discussion about the complexities of infidelity and societal expectations.
As the conversation unfolds, the speculations around Siya and Rachel Kolisi’s divorce continue to capture public attention. Leaving many wondering about the true story behind their split.
