Sipho Mbule latest: Agent set for crunch talks over Kaizer Chiefs target

SuperSport United midfielder Sipho Mbule, through his agent Mike Makaab, is set to hold crunch talks with the management this week.

According to Daily Sun, Makaab will travel from Durban to Gauteng this week to discuss Mbule’s future with Matsatsantsa.

Mbule is wanted by both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns although the former appear to be more keen on the midfielder, at this stage.

Amakhosi have inquired about Mbule’s availability with the intention to lure him to Naturena either before the end of January or at the end of the season.

MBULE’S CONTRACT EXPIRES IN JUNE BUT…

Mbule’s contract is coming to an end on 30 June 2022 BUT SuperSport United have an option to renew it for another year.

However, they should do before the end of May 2022 as per the agreement signed when Mbule penned the existing contract.

It is reported that both Mbule and SuperSport United have had disagreements over a number of issues, including the midfielder’s off-field battles.

And all that Mbule’s camp is seeking will be to know whether or not SuperSport United will renew his contract at the latest by May.

MBULE’S AGENT BREAKS SILENCE

Makaab said everything regarding Mbule’s future will be clearer come May without elaborating further on how he intends to tackle the matter.

“All is expected to be clear in May,” said Makaab to the same publication.

Mbule may be one of the popular figures in Kaitano Tembo’s team, but he hasn’t played since 24 November 2021 when SuperSport United held Sundowns to a 2-2 draw.

He missed Matsatsantsa’s final five league matches of 2021, and that could be one of the reasons for his curiosity to want to know if he still has a future at the club.
