With the festive break still continuing for some, many households are faced with the tasks of doing their own washing and cleaning …including Shimza
But whilst others have taken to the mundane tasks, the DJ and restaurateur would rather face a pile of dirty laundry whilst domestic helper is away.
That’s because Shimza has revealed on Twitter that he does not know how to do his own laundry – which he says includes underwear and socks.
SHIMZA BEGS HIS HELPER TO RETURN
On Thursday, Shimza hilariously revealed that he was desperate for his helper to return to work. This due to his lack of domestication.
He tweeted: “My helper needs to come back now, I’m completely out of socks, Ke setse ka tsa ko bounce [I’m left with Bounce socks], tempted to wear them”.
He added: “I don’t do my own laundry”.
When one tweep asked if he washed his own underwear, he quipped; “It’s part of laundry”.
TWEEPS AND MMUSI MAIMANE WEIGH IN
Following Shimza’s confession, many tweeps were divided on whether one should wash their own underwear
Some claimed there was no shame in letting a helper do it for you.
“People are weird. What’s wrong with paying for convenience when you can afford it?”
“Guys… Shimza has money, when you have money, there is just certain things you won’t do”
“The reason one hires a helper is to make their life easy especially if they have a busy life”
Whilst others were vehemently against it…
“Nah this is not it. I’m not rich enough to have a maid as yet. If ever I have one in the future I’ll never tell her to watch underpants as well. That’s the ultimate level of personal stuff.
“Not underwear! You wash that after bathing/showering. Sies maan”
“How do you allow someone else to wash your underwear? That’s disgusting and there’s absolutely nothing funny about that. The nerve of coming to tweet about it”
Even Mmusi Maimane weighed in with his disapproval, telling Shimza: “You are a grown man”.
