The Miss South Africa organisation announced that Lalela Mswane will represent the country at the Miss Supranational pageant in Poland, via social media on Tuesday 15 February.
LALELA MSWANE TO REPRESENT SA AT MISS SUPRANATIONAL
The Miss South Africa organisation announced that Lalela Mswane will be representing the country at the Miss Supranational pageant in Poland. The pageant will be held in August 2022.
“Drum roll please …. We are excited to announce Miss South Africa 2021, @Lalela_lali will represent Mzansi at the 13th edition of @MissSupranational 2022 this July in Poland! .Let’s support Lalela as she gets back on the international stage!” tweeted the Miss SA organisation.
This marks Lalela’s return to the international stage as she was crowned Miss Universe second runner-up in Israel on 12 December. This has many questioning why Lalela is competing twice because the runners-up each take a different pageant. So, Twitter users are breathing fire.
TWEEPS: ‘SHE’S SELFISH’
Twitter users thought Miss SA was selfish because she did not stand up for the other ladies.
“Why couldn’t Lalela speak up for the other ladies. She’s selfish. Wasn’t Miss Universe enough,” tweeted @touch_43113.
“I always thought that Miss SA goes to compete in Miss Universe, 1st runner up to Miss World and 2nd runner up to Miss Supranational regardless of whether our reigning Queen won or not,” tweeted @lebo_lhshasha.
“@Official_MissSA organisation fooled us into the three sisterhood bull because they wanted to accomodate Natasha. Now they see Lalela has the potential to win they dropping other girls. They don’t care about the girls they just want more sponsors. Miss SA is abusive,” wrote @Shushu_0925.
“Miss SA should have at least explained it to the girls. Should these pageants not occur at the same time , then the official miss sa should represent the country in all 3( should she win) then the 1st runner will automatically become miss sa and represent us in the remaining,” tweeted @lee_Jikijela.
