SHABBA returns to wear Kaizer Chiefs jersey one more time!

Siphiwe Tshabalala will be returning to Naturena to wear the Kaizer Chiefs jersey one more time.

Kaizer Chiefs have the chance to witness several Amakhosi legends in action one more time at Naturena.

So, Amakhosi’s legends will be involved in a match against Bloemfontein Celtics legends on 28 July 2024. Kick off is at 12:30.

Chiefs confirmed this enticing curtain-raiser in a statement. Moreover, Shabalala will be joined by the likes of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Willard Katsande and Bernard Parker.

“With all of these games, we try to give a variety of players the opportunity to feature. We are happy to have Siphiwe Tshabalala, Fabian McCarthy and Stanton Fredericks back, and are buzzing to have Bernard Parker in the team for the first time,” Thabo Mooki said on the same publication.

Meanwhile, legends from different generations will feature.

“The thing about our legends games is that we are players who transcend a few generations of the club,” he explains, “When we wear the jersey, we go out there to enjoy ourselves and win for the fans,” he added.

Furthermore, Brian Baloyi, Morgan Gould, Josta Dladla, Thusa Phala, Jabu Mahlangu and Collins Mbesuma are amongst the legends set to feature.

Finally, Mooki will coach the Amakhosi legends. Thereafter, Kaizer Chiefs will take to the field to face Tanzanian giants Young Africans in the Toyota Cup. Kick off is at 15:00.

Therefore, this match will be a symbolic passing of the torch as Chiefs usher in the new era. So, as Amakhosi legends wear the Chiefs shirt one more time the new era of Amakhosi will be warming up. Thereafter, they will leave the field as the new era steps up with Nasreddine Nabi set to take charge of his first home game. Moreover, he will have a new-look side take the field on that day. Ironically, Nabi is closing in on his first signing from Orlando Pirates.
