See what COTU Boss FRANCIS ATWOLI said after MUDAVADI’s ‘earthquake’ announcement yesterday – You won’t believe this!

Monday, January 24, 2022 – COTU Secretary-General, Francis Atwoli, has lashed out at Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi for joining Deputy President William Ruto after keeping Kenyans guessing for a while.

Taking to his social media, Atwoli questioned the essence of the new pact, wondering if befriending the DP would be Mudavadi’s path to power.

Further, he poked holes into the pesa mfukoni narrative which headlined Mudavadi’s manifesto.

The COTU boss went back in memory lane in 1994, noting that Mudavadi was instrumental in introducing a clause in the Finance Bill that has worsened the situation for employees.

“Mudavadi, in 1994 while minister for finance, sneaked in the redundancy clause into the Finance Bill of 1994, as suggested by the World Bank, which allowed employers to declare redundancy without consulting workers. So how will he empower workers?”

“And who told him he’s going to be President? Befriending Ruto is not the key to Presidency?” Atwoli posed.

The COTU boss also poured cold water on the UDA-ANC alliance – noting that he had hoodwinked his former allies in the One Kenya Alliance, Gideon Moi (KANU) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), who walked out of the event after DP Ruto allies arrived.

“He has lied to Kalonzo and Gideon by hiding his marriage with Ruto,” Atwoli noted.

During Mudavadi ‘earthquake’ event, the crowd chanted “Atwoli must go” after Mudavadi claimed that the workers’ union had been cannibalized.

“If I was clueless and if COTU was weak they wouldn’t have spent the time and the energy focusing on me and COTU (K).

“We are an independent, influential and free labour movement that is feared and respected globally,” Atwoli stated.
