Scotland unleash three Saffas on Springboks
Scotland have named three South Africans in their match-day squad for Sunday’s crunch fixture against the Springboks in Edinburgh.
Trailblazing winger Duhan Van der Merwe, powerhouse prop Pierre Schoeman and agile utility forward Dylan Richardson, all South Africans by birth, will feature against the Springboks.
Van der Merwe and Schoeman made Scotland’s starting lineup with Richardson set to be used as an impact player off the bench.
THE REST OF THE SCOTLAND MATCH-DAY SQUAD
Fresh from his debut against Fiji last weekend, Tom Jordan has been selected at full-back to take on world champions South Africa this Sunday.
Top 14 and European Champions Cup winner Blair Kinghorn is available this week and will start on the right wing.
Finn Russell and Ben White have been selected as the half-back pairing with Russell chosen as a vice-captain.
The rest of the backline is unchanged from the Fiji win with Huw Jones and captain, Sione Tuipulotu, combining once again in the centre.
In the forwards, there are no changes from the Scotland team that defeated Fiji 57-17. Rory Darge is named as vice-captain once again and makes up an all-Glasgow Warriors back row with Matt Fagerson and Jack Dempsey.
Grant Gilchrist and Scott Cummings are paired together for the second week in a row and up front, Zander Fagerson packs down, fresh from becoming a dad to twins, along with Schoeman and Ewan Ashman in the Scotland front row.
