Schools may not reopen in January – Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah hints
Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has given hints that suggest that schools will not reopen next year in contrast to the president’s promise.
According to him, President Akuffo-Addo will be meeting his cabinet to decide on the final decision to open schools fully or not. However, Ghanaians are still asking when schools will reopen.

“These decisions are not made lightly. But so far all his covid management decisions have been spot on. Fingers crossed, he will make the best decision in the interest of our children and our schools,” he said.

Students at all levels were asked to stay at home way back in March when the Coronavirus pandemic reared its ugly head in Ghana. President Akufo-Addo in several addresses to the nation assured the citizens of the opening of the schools in January 2021 when all COVID-19 protocols have been effectively implemented.
