Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu braces for tough title defence in new season
Nurudeen AmaduSamartex coach Nurudeen Amadu admits it will be challenging to replicate last season’s success as they prepare for the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.Amadu led the club to a historic league title in just their second top-flight season, a feat that has raised expectations.Despite being tipped as one of the favourites, with the core squad intact and new additions like Hearts of Oak defender Kofi Agbesimah, Amadu remains cautious.”It’s going to be tough. I cannot promise anything, but we must prepare as every match will be like a grand finale. We have to prepare ourselves very well because it’s not going to be easy,” he said ahead of their September 5 opener against Dreams FC.Samartex will also face Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League shortly after.
