Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with fog and drizzle patches at first along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the eastern Highveld including the escarpment areas. It will be hot in places in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east with fog patches at first on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the south-east. It will be very hot in the Western Bushveld.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but partly cloudy and cool along the south coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

Partly cloudy and warm.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh south westerly, but light north westerly early morning and in the evening.

The Eastern half -Morning fog patches in places, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cloudy south of the escarpment. Isolated showers and rain are expected in the east.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate south westerly, becoming south easterly from the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm, but hot in places in the north. It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-westerly, becoming easterly to south-easterly in the afternoon, but north-easterly north of Richard’s Bay from late afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
