IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
1.A Yellow Level 2 warning for disruptive rain, leading to localized flooding over susceptible formal and/or informal settlements, roads, low-lying areas and bridges is expected in places over the eastern areas of the Eastern Cape and the extreme southern KwaZulu-Natal where localized disruption could result from sinkholes, potholes and/or blocked drainage systems.

Temperature and UVB forecast
Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated thundershowers from the afternoon.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in the western Bushveld.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Free State:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered on areas around Lesotho.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy with fog patches in the extreme west at first, otherwise partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the central and eastern areas.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly, becoming strong in the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy becoming partly cloudy and cool to warm with early morning isolated over the extreme south but scattered along the south coast in the south.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south- westerly, becoming strong south-easterly in the late afternoon along the west and south-west coast.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Eastern Cape:
The Western half –Cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior with scattered showers and rain, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south- westerly.
The Eastern half -Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the east.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south- westerly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the extreme south-west. It will be fine and hot in places in the north, becoming partly cloudy.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north- easterly, becoming south-westerly from the extreme south
