Rassie Erasmus signs off on a good note
Rassie Erasmus announced that he will be undergoing shoulder surgery days after an Autumn series clean sweep.
“I’m having a shoulder operation”, the Springbok coach confirmed.
“I’m not going to show the pictures because I don’t think it’s worth showing. All OK, I think I will be out of the hospital by the weekend.”
Springbok coach applauds fans and players
The World Cup winning coach quickly changed the subject, saying, “I wanted to thank the fans for the amazing support this year. Even when we tried some things and things weren’t going well, you were always standing behind us.”
Rassie Erasmus continued by saying, “to our players who made it into the Dream XV and Sacha nominated and almost got it there, we are all proud of those guys,
“I hope you have a great time over the festive season. Fortunately, we have the URC now and some of the boys are playing, to all the fans I hope you have good holidays.
“Let’s stay nice and humble, support each other and help us keep our feet on the ground. We play for you guys and for South Africa, also for those abroad who understand and see what we stand for as the Springboks – I appreciate that a lot.
“At the end of the day, it is all just a game that we are all proud of. Merry Christmas and hope you all have a lekker festive time. I will probably only hop on Twitter next (year) again. Cheers.”
