Raja Casablanca clash is a David and Goliath affair â Samartex GM Edmund Ackah
Samartex General Manager Edmund Ackah has likened their upcoming CAF Champions League contest against Raja Casablanca to a “David and Goliath” battle.Speaking ahead of Sundays first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ackah drew on the biblical story of David defeating Goliath to describe the challenge his team faces.The Moroccan giants, with their extensive resources and continental experience, are favourites to progress.However, the Ghanaian champions, fresh from eliminating Cameroons Victoria United, aim to pull off an upset.”Preparation for Raja started right after our game against Victoria United in Accra. Weve been in camp preparing well for them,” said Ackah.”Raja is a big team. It is just like Kotoko and Hearts of Oak. Samartex playing Kotoko or Hearts on any day is a David and Goliath affair and that is how we see the Raja game.”We are the underdogs because we are just three years in the Premier League. We will make names for ourselves if we beat them but if they beat us is no news. Notwithstanding, we will not underestimate ourselves against Raja. We are going all out.”The second leg will come off next weekend in Casablanca with the winner of the tie securing qualification to the group stage.
