RAILA ODINGA should be worried as an opinion poll reveals the number of votes he will get in Mombasa County

Wednesday, February 9, 2022 – Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto are the two main contenders in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.

Though there are other presidential candidates in the country, Ruto and Raila are the two main horses during the August 9th by-election.

On Wednesday, an opinion poll conducted by Mizani Africa in Mombasa county showed that if the election is held today, Raila Odinga will get 47.8 percent followed by DP Ruto with 39.5 percent.

Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, would get 10.7 percent while other presidential candidates will share the rest 2 percent.

This poll is a big blow to Raila Odinga since Mombasa County has been one of his strongholds where he got over 80 percent in previous presidential elections.
