Sekhukhune United have terminated the loan contract of one of Mamelodi Sundowns defenders which was meant to expire in June.
Nicholus Lukhubeni is set to return to Sundowns after being deemed surplus to requirements by the Sekhukhune technical team.
The news of Lukhubeni parting ways with Sekhukhune was confirmed by the player himself in a statement released on Wednesday.
SEKHUKHUNE PART WAYS WITH SUNDOWNS STARLET
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Chairman, the board, the management, technical team, staff, supporters and my dear colleagues that I spent most of time with on the pitch – my teammates for giving me the opportunity to play for Sekhukhune United.
“I really learnt a lot and enjoyed my stay at the club. It is now time for a new chapter. I have officially and amicably parted ways with the club.
“My management agency (Brand Arc) will advise what’s next for me. It will be communicated in the near future.”
Lukhubeni’s official statement
Lukhubeni, 25, featured just once for Sekhukhune United this season, and that was a substitute appearance against Royal AM.
And that appearance came two minutes before the end of regulation time, and that was his only contribution for Sekhukhune.
