Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup: Sundowns and AmaZulu kept apart!

The Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup is back, and Mamelodi Sundowns will again be part of the tournament in Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal.

On Wednesday, dignitaries and club representatives graced the launch of the 2022 edition, and as expected, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi was also present.

The Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup was first launched in 2018 where Sundowns lifted the trophy after beating AmaZulu in the final.

Now, the two teams will fancy the chance to face each other again in the final of this year’s edition after being kept apart in the semi-finals.

This year’s tournament is scheduled for Sunday, 23 July where Usuthu will get the ball rolling in the first semi-final with Zululand District XI at 9:00.

Sundowns will then take on newly-promoted PSL side Richards Bay FC in the semi-final clash which is penciled for 11:00.

The winner of the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup will be decided on the same day – the final is set to be played at 16:00.
