Police hunt for Nakuru Pastor wanted for stabbing his girlfriend
The National Police Service (NPS) has appealed to the public for assistance in tracking down a man accused of brutally attacking his girlfriend in Nakuru county.
In a statement issued Saturday, the NPS urged Kenyans with information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest to report to the nearest police station.
The suspect, Elias Njeru Mutugi allegedly attacked her girlfriend, Florence Wanjiku Gichohi, leaving her with multiple stab wounds and severed hands.
The assault reportedly took place at their rental home in Olive Estate after a domestic dispute.
“Preliminary investigations established that the victim was attacked by her boyfriend Elias Njeru Mutugi, who is also her business associate at Indigenous Land Properties Limited. The incident happened at their rental house in Olive following domestic wrangles,” the NPS stated.
Wanjiku is currently admitted at a Nakuru hospital in critical condition.
The attack came just hours after President William Ruto condemned the alarming rise in femicide and gender-based violence in the country.
