Pitso Mosimane linked with another big move

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane is linked with another big coaching move.

According to Soccer Laduma, Mosimane is strongly wanted by Iranian giants Esteghlal Khuzestan FC.

Khuzestan is an unknown club to the majority of South African fans but they have surely been following Mosimane’s career.

Mosimane has been to Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) in recent year where he’s made a name for himself.

Now, these latest developments come at the time when Raja Casablanca were also believed to be eyeing Mosimane.

However, nothing came out of those reports as Raja hired Portuguese coach Ricardo Sá Pinto.

The last time Mosimane and his technical team coached was when they were with Abha FC of the UAE.

Agreeing to take over the reins on a short-term contract, Abha FC were relegated under Mosimane’s watch.

Meanwhile, the 60-year-old coach previously expressed desire to return to international football with one big national team.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been earmarked as Mosimane’s next possible national team.

He last coached at international level with Bafana Bafana in 2012. He had been in the setup for over five years.

PITSO MOSIMANE TO COACH IN IRAN?

“Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach has emerged as a strong candidate to take over one of Iran’s biggest club, the Siya crew has learnt,” reads part of the report.

“Following their slow start to the season that has seen them pick up one win in seven games, Iranian giants Esteghlal Khuzestan FC are considering the services of Mosimane.”

WOULD IT BE A WISE MOVE?
